Mods continued!!
Aluminum pedals - Very easy to install. There is a rubber backing with rubber tabs you pull on with your fingers. Take your tine and make sure the rubber backing pulls AROUND the back of the steel brake pedal and plastic accelerator pedal.
Organizer bin (Perfect fit but I will add a photo later!!) Very luxurious suede like soft liner.
Tesla Key Card Holder - Like most people I use my phone, but I love this holder for those "just in case" situations where you need to bring your car to Tesla service, valet, or loan to a friend. Cheap!!
The Tesla scene is jam packed with mods! I'll post little by little what I've managed to do in a week.
First up, the basics. Wheel locks. I scoured the internet for suitable wheel locks. Didn't really find anything on point. Took a chance. I wanted something that did NOT have a hex head as those would be easier for thieves to take a tool to such as a reversing socket. I found something externally round with an internal key. Just what I wanted. Theft proof? Likely not. But if I can buy a few seconds or even minutes for $20, I'm all in.
This tool is an absolute MUST for Tesla 20" induction wheels. Do NOT use the steel factory hook or other similar metal pin/hook/hanger recommendations as those tools will 100% chew up the delicate THIN plastic of these center caps. For sure buy these cheap bicycle wheel plastic tools. (<--- LINK TO BUY) They are a PERFECT fit for the center caps!!
Almost forgot-- if you do get these wheel locks, you'll need a deep 22mm socket for them. I like this one because it has a nylon wheel protector.
I appreciate it if you use my Amazon affiliate links. I get a small commission for purchases made using my links. I only share products I personally use and truly enjoy.
I promise to get some real photos up soon, as photography is my main hobby. But these iPhone 14 Pro shots will do for now.
I have over 20 years of experience at modifying, repairing, restoring, upgrading, and detailing cars. So I hope to document my experience of new Tesla ownership including any mods, upgrades, and enhancements I do!
Here is my Model Y. I initially had a Model Y on order in early February 2023 but it wasn't ready until the May time frame. So I went on a Tesla stock aggregator site and found three local Model Y long ranges ready for immediate delivery. I clicked on a gray one but when I went to check out, it was gone. Next up, this black one. Hit the order button and it was mine! The only catch is it was in Sacramento. So I had to fly from SoCal to Sacramento to pick it up then drive back. 2.5 sessions at the wonderful Tesla Superchargers and I was home sweet home. The front end was filled with bugs!
